Another week, another Playlist Thursday.
I know I’ve said this before but I really enjoy participating in Playlist Thursday with Pavement Runner and all the other bloggers. Not only does it allow me to share songs on my playlist, it also helps me add new ones, either by reading other Playlist Thursday blog posts or getting caught up on YouTube watching videos.
This week’s theme: The ever-popular category of “dance songs.” Otherwise known as songs that make you want to dance while running. If you are super talented, you can do BOTH at the same time. If you are super-duper talented, you have video proof to share.
I think we all know the rules by now, but in case you’ve forgotten head on over to Pavement Runner’s blog for a refresher.
Now, Let’s Dance!
Something Old
Artist: Tag Team
Title: Whoomp, there it is
Side note: I had a slight obsession with the Mighty Duck movies back in the day. This song was featured in D2: The Mighty Ducks and not only reminds me of a younger Joshua Jackson, but also of the solid music that was produced in the 90s.
Quotable: “There’s a party over here. A party over there. Wave your hands in the air. Shake your derriere. These three words when you’re gettin’ busy. Whoomp there it is. Hit me”
Something New
Artist: Cher Lloyd
Title: Want U Back
Side note: It took everything I had not to feature One Direction again this week. Everything. But I resisted and instead bring you a catchy song from a British female.
Quotable: “And now you’re taking her to every restaurant. And everywhere we went, come on!. And now you’re taking her to every restaurant. You got me, got me like this.”
Something to Consider
Artist: OK Go
Title: Here It Goes Again
Side note: If anyone knows how to dance on a treadmill it has to be the guys from OK Go. Personally, I would fall flat on my face if I even attempted to dance on my treadmill using anything other than my arms and head, and even that would be calling it close.
Quotable: ” Just when you think that you’re in control, just when you think that you’ve got a hold, just when you get on a roll, here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again.”

Great playlist! Your ‘Something Old’ choice is inspired!
My husband’s best friend used to joke that when he got married the intro song was going to be: “Whoomp” (It wasn’t btw). I love that OK Go song the video is genius.
I have a list going of songs I should add to my playlist but haven’t yet!! I really need to update this
Hahaha… love the D2 reference.
Cher Lloyd is catchy… nicely done.
Love the treadmill dudes! Classic.
