Truth be told, getting off the couch is quite possibly the hardest thing I have to do lately.
I’m fine throughout the day at work (well, mostly), I pick up the boy, go home and make supper (which is quite possibly the hardest decision I have to make daily) and then it’s all down hill from there.
Once I sit on the couch it is very difficult to get back up for anything other than the necessities.
Lincoln goes to bed around 7:30 pm giving me plenty of time to fit in a run before we head to bed. But whether or not I do it is the real issue.
Last night I decided enough was enough.
Since I had missed my nap time run yesterday I knew I had to fit it in not only for training purposes but also for mental health purposes.
And, truth be told, I actually have more energy when I run than when I fall asleep on the couch.
While Andrew put Lincoln to bed I headed downstairs to start my 3 mile run.
On went Dawson’s Creek and one episode (and a few minute-long walk breaks) later I was done.
And I felt great.
I had a shower and sat back on the couch.
But instead of falling asleep, which I am prone to do, we watched an episode of Canada’s Greatest Know-it-All. A friend of ours (Wayne) is competing and it’s fun to watch a reality TV show where you actually know someone The Discovery Channel isn’t very prompt with uploading new episode though so we are always one episode behind the rest of the country.
Another run is on the schedule for tonight and I’m looking forward to it.
I just have to remember the feeling from last night when the couch starts calling me after supper.
And now for something completely different…
I am in the market for an eReader. As hard as I try to resist the switch from real book to e-book it’s something I’m inevitably going to do.
The question is: which one?
Kindle? Kobo? Sony eReader? Other?
Right now the Sony eReader is the front-runner because I can get it super cheap with my Sony points.
Your thoughts and recommendations on any of the above would be greatly appreciated.
